How in the world can you under 25 year olds afford a 30K car? What do you guys do? I must be in the wrong preffession or something (software engineer). I'm 31 and this is finally when I can afford a 30K car. When I was 25, I finally got out of school (masters).

Are your parents helping out or do summer jobs pay so well these days?

Please, no flames, I'm just curious as there was no way I could even afford a 20K car when I was 18-25!

Andy

I think the key is...

No wife
No kids
No mortage
Live at home (with parents, rent free)
Be a slave to your car

im too greedy right now to have a wife or kid (im young and i have other things to focus on, like getting into medical school). dont plan on having either a wife or kid till im about 28. but then again, you never know what might happen.

Uh-Oh, I'm the old man so far, 37. But, I have owned plenty of fast cars including one I sold 1 1/2 years ago, a 9-sec. Street Camaro with a 452cu. in. Digital Fuel Injected Nitrous'd BB. Tuned it with a lab top. Owned it for 16 years but, never had enough time so I sold it. Got the feeling back, bought an EVO.
