But damn lied to me . They told me that they were marketing this car to middle - upper class males between the ages 35 - 40 as a weekend toy. That was the regional managers excuse for the soft clutch.

Just because you appreciate your car does not mean that you're not spoiled...and those kids at your "skool" who crash their BMW's are insured, just like you. That may be the reason they get a new car. I also feel (just my personal opinion) that this car is just too much (both in cost and performance) for someone in high school...but that's just my opinion and I'm sure your parents took into consideration these factors when they purchased the EVO for you.

35 on my 3rd DSM and 5th turbo car first was a 87 mirage turbo PR edition loaded 1990 eclipse GSX and now the evo.
the other turbos were an 87 suzuki 3cyl and a 2001 new beetle GLX

IMO getting a 30G car from your parent without a sweat...that's pretty spoil...but i m not saying you don't apperciate you car
