2006 evo IX for $19500, good price????

hey guys im looking to buy a 2006 evo IX graphite grey without sunroof but all other options. the guys is selling it to me for 19500 and it has 48000 miles on it.. its completely stock no mods at all.. is this a good price? and there was one thing that i was concerned about, under the hood above the wheel well on the driver side where the upper strut bar bolts on there is a little bit of rust there? im not sure how and why rust would be up there but could that be bad rot? any input on that rust thing would help

THANKS

depends on the area. What are the other evos going for over there? That sounds like the right price for the WI/MN area. Probably even a steal of a price if the evo 9 is clean.

Seems fair to me but I would check the chassis for more rust. Does anything in the bay look oxidized? I see your from Conn so it wouldn't surprise me if it did have a little rust.

Like it was said before, area plays a big role. In the Midwest, 9's are still holding 20k or a little more. I picked my 2005 with 23k on it for 18.5k with some mods, which is a steal for an 8 with that low of miles. I was looking without evo's within like 8 hours of Milwaukee too, there was like 2 for sale in all of Wisconsin.

I think that's a good price. To give you a comparison, I live next door to you in NH, and I got my 03 Evo VIII stock with 76k miles on it for $16,000. I'd go for it depending on the rust. If you're unsure how bad it is, post pictures here or bring a mechanic along with you to check it out and give his opinion.

Check to see if the car was in any type of accidents from the carfax..I would also,.look for all the vin tags on the panels and see if the car was repainted in any areas. If the car checks out you got a good deal. The rust in that area is normal.

Looks like a nice clean car, and a good deal. Obviously check the car out in person, and run a carfax report. Look it over to make sure it wasn't in any accidents. Differences in paint tone, or finish consistency will be dead giveaways of this.

What KBB condition would you say its in? I got mine for more than that and mine had 53000 miles when i picked it up but it was in very good condition. However it is also an MR
