Help*should i buy this evo?
Whats up guys so i just sold my evo 9 and picked up a little civic to beat around town for now.But a week passed by and i am in the evo withdraw and need another evo so i been looking at one that's for sale around my town. Its a 2008 Evo 10 with 45k miles and clean title but it was hit in the front and rear just cosmetic the light/front,rear bumper were replaced but air bags were deployed.
***Should i still be considering this car after air bags have been deployed the car looks amazing and i would love a Evo 10 but i want a car that will last me for a long time and make it look good.
whats your opinion?
HERE'S THE CAR

I agree; only if it were a steal would I buy it with accident damage (especially hit hard enough for airbags to blow). Spend a couple more $$ for one that isn't damaged and that will retain its value a little better or find a similar one that was correctly repaired for thousands less--may not be easy, but possible.

The only reason the car doesn't have a salvage title when the airbags were deployed is because the owner didn't have sufficient insurance to cover the car.
Just because a car has a clean title doesn't mean it wasn't in a bad accident.
Car is a 2008 and has had 3 owners already. for 20k I might consider it, but 24k is way too high

Simple answer. NO the price is way to high for a car that deployed the airbags. Even 20k would be too much. Also when a major component like the srs system has gone off the system has be compromised. But hey its your life.

Feel free to correct me if im wrong. The ct9a platform for alot of people feels more raw. Its more of a race bread design I guess you could say in comparison to the x. Ive driven both. The x is alot more luxurious for sure. Has options that werent available in the 7-9. The price tag also goes to show. Along with the cost of aftermarket being higher as well. 4g63 has been around for a long while, therefor making aftermarket parts more readily available and also cheaper. If I were you Id go take a look at the car. Do a thourough inspection. Drive it. Then post your findings along with your feeling on the car. In the end you have to be the one happy with the car...

if you can afford it Id say buy it, if every car the airbags went off in were junk there be no cars left on the road! they make them like oil filters now days and can be changed out easily. all the mods and if the car has been beat is what u need to worry about.
