There is a home school course you can get for $29.95. Teaches you how to become a better moderator, through self discipline and spiritual healing.
Seriously, I'm not sure other than the consistency of your participation in the forms, your level of advise, how many times your respond, or if your board respond like this post, or how many times a week you change your underwear. I guess these all play a vital roll in you moderation. I have been in the forms for a couple of months, I believe, an have not starting posting until this last week or so.
Is it an outomated process or a Dmoz style....?

to be a moderator is different than climbing the LF social status ladder... moderator status is granted by KK and to climb you just need to post. which i think is stupid cuz i see a lot of bull**** posts. i think KK should change the rules to, if you post it has to be atleast 60 words for it to count towards anything. thats just my opinion. i could care less if i reached some sort of posting mile stone.
oh yeah, welcome.

The qaulity of a post is more important than the quantity of the post. I think we never give members the idea to "post more" to "achieve" more. Moderator status does not have anything to do with post counts at all. It just happens that those who care about the forum and contribute the most are those post a little bit more. I admit not all of the posts we put are as informative as the others. However, moderator ARE human, we happens to like having fun as well.
