Crunching Sound Shifting 2nd & 3rd
Hello, 1st time post here. And i'm sure there will be more to come....
I have a Brand New GSR EVO, I have noticed when shifting to 2nd and 3rd gears majority of the time i get a short crunch sound. Is this something to worry about? I depress the clutch all the way when shifting. The only way to avoid the crunching is to stay in neutral for a second before shifting to the next gear. This does not happen when shifting to 4th or 5th. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully I can find out if this is common and if I should take it in, or if its just bad driving habits.

2nd and 3rd are notchy in the X...very normal. It should improve in time. I had my dealer change out the fluid under warranty just to see if there was a difference. Figured there could very well be some shavings from the break-in-period. The fluid change did help out (changed at 7K) some and I know if you do the Redline cocktail that many guys on here use you'll get even better results. I just don't want to tamper with the warranty so I"ll stick with OEM fluid.
