A few questions

Just recently purchased Lancer OZ (yellow).
So far love the car although I have a few questions regarding brakes.

Mine didnt come with ABS, does it make that much of a difference?

I was told that it still handles/brakes well even without the ABS.

Any opinons?

I think ABS comes only with the LS version (correct me if i'm wrong).

And no ABS doesn't make much of a difference. It is only really useful on slippery surfaces. Other than that, there's no point.

i don't think ABS is that necessary. if you're a good driver, you can always avoid accidents.

generaly in the event of an accident you panic and ram the brake pedal through the floor so i guess abs would help .... but the oz comes in pretty yellow
so who gives a f*ck

How is ABS going to make the car handle better? Tests after tests have shown that in the hands of a competent driver, a non-ABS equipped car wins out in 0-60 stops, except in the rain. Besides, in an auto-x, you don't wanna have ABS anyway. The Lancer is mushy as far as handling goes on stock parts but against a Focus sedan and a Civic sedan (test drove when buying), the Lancer feels more "neutral".
