Will a test pipe make my car have worse performance?

I have an evo 8 with an after market greddy exhaust and I wanted to get a Megan racing test pipe. Will it cause my car to have worse performance even if there's no check engine light or will I need a new tune because it already had one

A straight through exhaust will allow for more power to be made on any turbo car.

No it will definitely open up some power restricted by the cat. You will need a tune after install. Some will argue that you don't im sure but you will and should.

You'll need a sparkplug non-fouler, or just turn it off when you tune.

I've heard even with the non fouler some people still have problems.

You're tuned based on the parameters your car was putting out with a CAT, now that you will be able to push more air you're changing those parameters, so a new tune could definitely help.

Yes most definitely anytime you change your set up your gonna need to get your tune at least tweaked. Depends on the gravity of the modification.
