Newbie getting evo 8 05 questions

Hey guys, so I'm new here to evos, my 1st car was a 3000gt 95

So I spotted this evo 8 05 here in canada for about 20 grand, and I was just wondering is it really expensive to maintain? Such as clutch changes, brakes, etc etc. If anyone could give me an average price on those I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

i have had mine 05 evo 8 since 2006...92k miles...i have the original clutch, rotors, etc...i have only changed the brake pads and tires and done the usual maintenance...no abuse = prolonged use but replacement parts are obviously more expensive yet better quality in comparison to your 3000gt

My previous car was a 3000gt vr4 (1996). Maintenance on these cars is like maintenance on a civic when compared to a 3000gt. I have loved the switch. Though I miss the sexy body style

Well I bought mine with 48k miles on it ( mine is also a 2005 Evo 8). I've replaced pads and rotors and tires, and that's about it. I've spent more money modifying it than trying to fix it, the exact opposite when I had the GT. lol. The motor is so much more simple than the 6g72. Plus two less cylinders and one less turbo to worry about. I can actually fit my hand in the engine bay and can even change my plugs and wires in like 15 minutes. If you do your own work that's something to consider. Not to mention the mass amount of support from vendors this car has as opposed to the 3000gt. I could go on and on... Lol
