what to look for when buying an evo

I am looking to buy a evo 8/9. What are some things to watch out for when buying one of these cars?

Yeah! Sometimes it's just easier to ask the question and sift through all the jholes that tell you to use the search function.

When i bought my evo 9 it had a few dents on the outside and a few minor scratches but those are easy fixes so i didnt mind, I also brought my cousin with me (evosev) to help me out since he knows way more about evos than i do. It also helped that i bought it from terry who's been on this site forever and knowing he took care of the car is always a plus!

There was a thread a couple days ago on this I think. But yea, what somebody said before me, if you aren't sure bring somebody with you. Like I've said before, it's always better to have another pair of eyes just in case you miss something, or might not know what something may be. I would do a CarFax if possible (not everyone will report on it, but it's good to know at least some history on the vehicle, or look on here and see if the previous owner might be a member), and just really nitpick. There will be other cars that will come along, so don't just jump on the first one you see with a good price tag.
