that motor is not meant to use a blow off valve.
what you want is a diverter valve (DV) to replace the stock one, this mod will not give you any performance gain unless the stock valve is torn or broken in some way.

installing a blow off will cause the car to run rich

Not to mention my buddy got a ticket for one since its a cop magnet but it all depends on your area

It's called a compressor bypass valve or diverter valve, please.

I heard Search is a good bov. But in all seriousness i have the TiAL QR bov with the -6psi spring and it runs perfect. Heres a video of the sound of it but with the 8psi spring which caused abit of flutter during partial throttle.

If you wan't a little more sound, look at the turbosmart hybrid. I got it and love it. thing sounds amazing, though i do get a little stutter at cruising speeds coming off a hill.

The "smart" part of the name comes from washing the cylinder walls with raw fuel on shifts, right?

The air that is vented to atmosphere has already been metered by MAF and calculated by the ecu So if and when it gets vented into air in a 50/50 or VTA configuration, the ecu still thinks that it has the full metered air coming back into the stream, and since it doesn't and the ecu doesn't know that fact, the ecu will still put the same amount of fuel thinking that it still has same air metered by the MAF: making it run rich. Or as how Iowa put it, washing the cylinder walls with raw fuel.

Does anyone have a video showing the wideband during shifts with a VTA bov? If you watch my video you can see at WOT im at ~10.9...which obviously is when the valve is closed. When i let off and shift it goes lean and goes to ~13.9. I wanna know how rich your afr goes during shifts with a VTA bov.

I wish i did, but i am tuned for the VTA, so my AFRs stay safe.

See you could be a helpful mod and say, hey it may make your car run rich, but rather you chose to be condescending and unhelpful. That seems like a good attitude of a mod...

The great thing of the Turbosmart is the fact that it can be ran as a hybrid when you are tuned correctly for it, or you can run it as a diverter valve with the included hard ware.

I run it with a tune and my AFRs stay in a safe area, even with it 70-30 set up.

OP, this topic has been discussed every way possible with multiple threads just like this one. Please do a search and read through those threads. I guarantee everything you ever wanted to know about BOVs is in those threads. And if not, just bump one of those threads with your questions. Thanks.
