Evo purchase question

I wanna get an EVO 8 or 9 but I want to know what's a good price to pay and what kinds of things I can expect from an EVO with 70k+ miles. Any and all answers are appreciated.

I read that stuff I'm after personal testimonials from people who have owned one or the other or even both to give me picky details, I had a 95 TSI with a 4g63 7 bolt motor that I sleeved with forged internals bigger cams bigger turbo the whole shebang but I absolutely hated the damn mess of vacuum hoses and wiring under the hood and I didn't like how cheaply made the interior was and I just want to know how you guys feel about them perosnally notin general iI know the tech specs I feel like this phrase works "you can read the brochure"-FF3 Tokyo Drift but seriously give me some real god honest answers

Regular wear items cost so much on evos that a lot of people learn to do a lot of it themselves to offset the cost.

Buy the evo.
I came from a BMW 525i. Talk about a stupid cost of regular wear items. I had 3 oil leaks at 60,000 miles - oil pan gasket, oil filter stand gasket, and valve cover gasket.

The Evo seems like the most bulletproof car after that...and easy to work on compared to the over-engineered complexity of the things that break on a bimmer. I bought my Evo this year (2004 with 124k miles) and it sees 23lbs of boost daily without almost no issues.
