Evo

+ More power, for less money when it comes to mods.
+ No major catastrophic failure issues
+ Recaro seat
+ Superior AWD system

- Tiny *** trunk
- Recaros are not high adjustable
- Doesn't sound as good as an STi.

STi

+ Comes in a hatch
+ Has high adjustable seats
+ Has a full trunk
+ Sounds awesome

- Ringland failure requires expensive forged internals to fix.
- Plastic end tanks that have a tendency to break.
- Top mounted intercooler needs to be relocated when you start modding.
- Inferior AWD system
- I personally don't think the seats are as comfortable over a long period of time.
- Uneven headers make for an expensive exhaust system.

Honestly though if your reasons for buying an STi over an Evo is because it has a bigger trunk and height adjustable seats, you're looking at the wrong ****ing cars and you should probably just buy a Camry you grandpa *** mother ****ers.

I would also add a telescopic steering wheel and 6 speed MT to the Sti for the + column. Also fold down seats. I agree the fold down seats is not a deciding factor, but I could have used that option a few times so far with my X. Also, and this will fluctuate, but I would add warranty as a plus for the subaru.

I know someone who has had his clutch replaced under warranty work with Subaru. And he has had the car for awhile now. Sometimes warranty work can be a real PIA with Mitsubishi.

I've heard Subaru can be just as bug of dick bags as Mitsubishi when it comes to warranty.

If a clutch got replaced it may not be simple wear. There may have been something that caused that excessive wear. Clutch bolt backed out perhaps.
