why is the engine turned the other way? for clearance maybe? nice pic of the engine bay

That's the way the engine faces in Evos 1-3. The engine wasn't flipped until the Evo 4 .

yeah as people have said, the evo 4+ engine was swapped 180degrees from the earlier mitsi's. Zohab (the guy who owns this car) decided to be different from everyone else and use a later model 4g63 and fabricate it to make it work in his evo 3, so far it looks promising. he will be debut'ing his presence on the drag scene in 4-5 hours time will keep you posted on how well he does. we have an absolutely CRAP track to go on, but we wish him well!

will post some pics when i recieve some. i saw this car about 4 months ago in my mates workshop when they started the conversion, all they had done at the time was put a dummy engine in and the manifold/turbo setup was ready, i thought the guy was NUTS! as the turbo had no intake, and looked like it was gonna suck the drivers leg in and use it as power but then got sent these pics of the finished product!!!!! hopefully later today will get some full body pics and some times of his 1/4 mile, as he's racing 1500kms away :'(

from what i hear, he's running half tube chassis (front) and carbon fibre rear end but will update on this
