Sad young one, soon the forum gods shalt come, and smite ye for asking such a newb question....but fear not, at some point we all don't know stuff....no matter how obvious it might be to others.

In PI, they do have a MIVEC G92 in their Lancer (mirage body style, not the HB like in Aussie and JPN). The 2.4 liter is usually an US based engine. In the world, Mitsu loves to make small displacement engines.
Don't believe me. Across the world, the lancer/mirage comes w/ the flavor of a 1.3l (I challenge anyone to ever want that motor in their current lancer), 1.5l, 1.6l, 1.8l, and now the 2.0l . . . As for the Evo, he should have already known about the Evo 4-6, RA Zero fighter, and the 6.5 TME.
Plus, options are different too from the world market vs US.
