Hello everyone, new to the forums. I'm located in San Diego. My first car was a 2003 lancer OZ rally which I sold earlier this year, and bought a 2009 lancer ES. Shortly after my dad bought himself a GTS. We are slowly working our way up to an EVO. My dad will probably stick with a RA though. Lancer family, and we have more to learn. Any other people new to the lancer/evo scene? What inspired you to get a lancer or evo?

Welcome! Some of us worked our way through the early DSMs. I started with a 93 TSI Talon then the first batch of EVo's that hit the states in 2003. Great fun!

What inspired me..hmm, I wanted something better than my STi and something that fits my budget. So i sold it and bought an Evo

 

Yup, had a 95 GSX, then moved onto an 02 eclipse but missed the awd turbo performace, and then eventually bought an Evo 8.

OP, why didn't you just buy an Evo 8 after you sold your 03 lancer instead of trying to work your way up to one?

 

Also made the move from a Subaru... brother has been more of an Evo fan and I see that his spent more time on the road then mine!
