New Evo owner from Hong Kong

Hi everyone!

Just bought my first Evo7 JDM last week and loving every bit of it already.

Few little things to tidy up on it, but in general very tidy and tight.
Also just picked up a set of Enkei WTE II coming over to me!

tell us about what its like to drive an Evo in HK, I have been there once and seems there are no roads good enough to drive a performance car hard at all, but I heard you can take them across to the main land where there is no speed limit? But if you get caught racing your in big trouble? is that correct?

You're right, there aren't really any real roads that you can use the car to its potential, and yes, there are organised events where you can take them across the boarder to the mainland onto the tracks, not sure about the no speed limits part, but I'm pretty sure theres some form of bribery going on if there was something along the lines on no regards given to speed limits.

Gas price is not too bad, well, actually, maybe I have just been accustomed to it all, $16hkd/litre, thats around $2usd/litre. But the 7 has such a small tank, I'm averaging at around 350km per tank.

Welcome! Which part of Hong Kong are you residing in? My family lives near Tin Shui Wai. I am in the United States, need my open roads away from the cramped cities haha.

It's really so normal to pay that now, I moved over from UK, which is just as bad, so I've never enjoyed the cheaper rates you guys experience.

Oh yea? That's funny, as I just moved into that area 2mths ago. Yea, not many safe open roads really, and where there is, it's way too bumpy.
