The "not-an-Evo-sort-of-Lancer" FTO
Hey guys, just jumping in a quick intro. I'm mostly here to dream about AWD EVO converting a Mitsubishi FTO coupe if I ever win the lottery; have already had a look through Alchem1st's and 3bar_Dc2's threads and I'm itching to do some more reading.
I'm on my second FTO now, both 6A12 MIVECs, but the new one is a 5 speed manual and not the 4 speed tiptronic. Our bay is basically 5th Gen Mirage/Lancer ('95-'03), and the base spec GS came with a 4G93 so we share mounts with 4G motors. Presenting trying to figure out the rear suspension as the FTO can also use Evo 1-3 dog bone arms and LCAs. Mitsubishi parts bin?
The old, prettier one.
The new, go harder one.

Definitely not cheap! Parts themselves costly even before the labour. It has been done successfully before on one of these cars but there's not a great deal of information available on it and the owner was a bit secretive.
