Greetings from Colorado

Greetings,

my name is Aaron, I live in the colorful state of Colorado. I currently own a mint condition 1999 3000GT VR-4 and a 2010 Lancer GTS. The main reasons I joined this forum is to have a recourse for when I am working on my Lancer, to buy a used EVO X map sensor for my VR-4, and to follow what people are doing with their EVO's. I have quite a few friends that own EVO's from the earlier models to the EVO X.

Cheers!

Thanks a lot, I appreciate it. I really need an EVO X Map sensor... So if you know anyone that has one available, let me know haha.

Hey, if you are looking for locals that might have it, you should try the Colorado Evo Facebook page. Post a WTB in there and you might get lucky.

Maybe someday, but it wont be for a long time. Wouldn't have anywhere to store it! So maybe when we build a new house with my 4-6 car garage!

Your advice paid off. I found a gentleman that owns his own shop that builds only EVO's and GTR's. He sold me an EVO X map sensor for only $40! I was expecting to spend $100 for a used one! Thank you again!

Sure! I actually just started a build thread on www.3si.org (see below). I got the car July of 2015. It was 100% bone stock with 37,302 miles on it. It was on the show room floor of a Mitsubishi dealership called Costa Mesa Mitsubishi for years. I am keeping all of the stock components to make sure that I have the option to go back to stock if I want to. The lower mileage 1999 VR-4's are very expensive though. Mostly because it was the last year they made the car for the U.S. and they imported only 287 of them. This is number 134 of the 287 ever made. It is one of the cleanest VR-4's out there.

3SI Build Post:

I have collected everything I need for the 400+ AWHP 15G build I have been wanting to do. Thank you to everyone that has answered my questions/concerns in my "Thinking of a Possible Sleeper Build" Thread. I have been collecting parts over the last few months and feel like I got away with a pretty good deal. All that I am waiting for is for the delivery of the 15G turbochargers and the Ninja Performance EGR Block Off Plates. I will be updating this thread as the build goes on with pictures and quite possibly some questions and/or vent sessions. With the help of a couple 3S friends, I hope to have this build done in just a couple long wrench sessions. We will see.

Price Breakdown:

$665 (Local Friends Part Out):
- 750cc Injectors
- Braided Turbo Lines
- Supra Fuel Pump
- Greddy Profec A Boost Controller
- Defi Boost Gauge
- Greddy Type RS BOV
- 3SX High Flow Cat
- Stainless Steel Fuel Loop

$20oz Code Red Mountain Dew (seriously)
- Aluminum Y-Pipe

Amazon Credits (no actual money spent):
- AEM Wideband Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge

Other Purchases:
- Boostmore 15G Turbochargers - $999.00
- CX Racing Downpipe (from Pampena) - $169.99
- EVO MAF w/adapter harness - $100
- EVO X Map Sensor - $40
- 3krazygt Center Vent Gauge Cluster - $36
- Ninja Performance EGR Block Off Plates – $12.99
- Assorted Vacuum Line Cap Kit – $11.99
- Plenum Gasket – $11.19
- 3” Exhaust Gasket - $5.99
- Chrome (Free)

TOTAL COST FOR EVERYTHING: $2052.15
