Evo side wind deflector

just wondering how many people here have the side window deflector. i wanted to get one but wanted to know how it looks on the car and what it takes to install it. some of the web sites that sells it only shows that one picture but i want to see some others. mostly interested on how far it sticks out.

thanks peeps.

I have them and I love them. They look good on the car too. Definitely worth the money and easy to install.

you mean like this? Don't know what it takes to install, the dealer had alread fitted it. Doesn't look that hard - clips to the door frame somehow. If you want me to take some different pictures, just let me know.

If you're really keen to see it, since you're in MA and I'm in NH, I can meet you half-way some time and you can take a look in the flesh. Up to you...

does anyone have any closer pics? I think there are 2 different versions for the Window Wind Deflectors...

The older one is under : MZ562635EX

The Newer part number (as I was told from San Rafel Mitsu) is MZ562545EX

Does anyone know if they are different in appearance?

I just bought a 2004 EVO VIII and I noticed the car is very noisy with both windows down driving. Do the reflectors really work? (ie. get rid of the wind noise).

now how in the world is that "rice"???

that's straight from the Corporation of Mitsubishi. it's an OEM functional product and it adds some character to the vehicle.

rice is either ugly or out of place and this is neither ugly nor out of place.

what a horrible "post for the day"!!

People overuse the word rice. I found that out when I started coming to these forums. Rice is extra large muffers, vinyl stickers all over the car in weird places for parts you don't have, aluminum spoilers, "the super intake resistor performance chip", etc..
Those parts are OEM for the evo and lancer.. they keep the rain out if you have your window cracked, keep wind noises down when the window is down, and they look stealthy, not flashy with sparkles and beads glued to them. In that case, they would be rice.

hahaha yeah man...i think you need to check your definition for RICE.

JDM is cool in any tuner world man. not just civics...JDM = Japanese Domestic Market anything from japan meaning the HKS, Blitz, GREDDY, Buddy Club, Works, Volks parts your putting on your ride is part of the JDM scene it doesn't necessarily stick to just honda's.
