Depends on the dealership. Otherwise, you dont really get a discount for just being in the military. Most states, if im not mistaken, when you purchase a new vehicle, you do not need to pay taxes on it. So you save money there...

I know I had to pay taxes on every new vehicle I bought while I was in the service, 20 years worth. Each different manufactor has a different incentive program and not all offer military discounts. Good luck!!

In SC, military does not pay taxes on purchased vehicles. (So long as they're the only ones on the title. If a spouse is on the title who isnt military, then you pay half tax)
