Electric supercharger?

I saw an ad for this in Sport Compact Car. Of course its not as pwerful as a full on SC, but it claims 75 HP at the flip of a switch. Appears to have a cluster of electric motors attached the the SC housing. Half the price of a full unit as well. Anyone seen these?

the electric supercharger you saw, was from thomas knight. it is a legit unit, but it is very expensive and takes too many batteries to operate it. there is a cheaper version that is more lighter and doesn't require all those batteries. it is dyno proven too. go to www.streetfreakzperformance.bravehost.com

Dont bother with it. Do a search and you will see why this topic has been covered many times. Also from what I have read on several forums Thomas Knight is not very reputable. 75 horsepower will never come cheap unless its by way of nitrous. You are better off saving up for a real turbo kit.

All these kind of things are super heavy (extra batteries) and usually only last a few seconds. It's like a safer NO2. It'll make you go super lean if your running stock fuel system, so you'll still need to put more money into injectors/pump/AFC.

You can get 75hp all the time with other mods at probably close to the same cost.
