Why didn't you buy a STI? Why EVo?

You know why the EVO engine is so good?
Who do you think made the engine on those japanese kamakazy planes for Pearl Harbor?
Yep, you guessed it. Mitsubishi.
That engine made the impossible, possible. Which is no good mortally, but they gave us EVO, so i guess it works out (not really).

I went with the Evo as it's just more fun to drive... better handling.
The reason I *almost* went with the STi is that my local Subaru dealer is very good, and physically closer than the Mitsu dealer.

I just traded my WRX for the EVO. After driving the STi and EVO twice, reading all about the "wastegate flutter" on the STi from simple exhaust mods, and having a HORRIBLE service experience with the WRX I decided to give Mitsu a try.
It's been great so far...

Pink rabbits are gay
Tiny Turbo
Intercooler in the wrong place
wing and hood scoop shake
Does not handle as well
Does not brake as wheel
Knocks straight from the factory
2.5L does not make it WRC legal
Did not come with twin scroll turbo
Seats are for people with rather large butts
Cheap plastic steering wheel cover
Steering is slow
Shifter is notchy
no radio (come on)

Sti
The Subaru dealer in Evanston, IL charged a premium and it didn't have any in stock. They were like, "Give us a deposit and we'll call you". I probably would have bought one had they been available, but I was not spending north of $35K for it.
I've had my Evo for 14 months and I haven't looked back. I'm not very picky and I probably wouldn't have regrets had I bought an STi. Sounds wishy washy, but that's the way it is.
