Torque Spec for Exhaust Manifold

Does anyone know where I can get the exact factory torque specs for the evo exhaust manifold? I also want the bolt order as well.

No one has any idea of tightening order and torque specs?? Is it the same as a 2g eclipse? Would really appreciate help as the borla instructions just stated used manufacturers specs and I want this on this weekend.

According to the EVO VIII manual from Mitsi the torqu specs are as follows for the Exhaust Manifold bolts..

M8 29 ± 3 N-m (22 ± 2 ft-lb)
M10 49 ± 5 N-m (36 ± 4 ft-lb)

I'll see if I can find the tightening order for you.

Hope this helps!

Sorry, to clarify..

M8's are the top row studs (4) and M10's are the bottom studs (5).

Manual does not specify and order in which to install the bolts; only torque specs above. I would assume though it's like any other EM and you install using a criss-cross pattern from the edges to the center and back out towards the edges on torge.

Best of luck. If you need any more data let me know. The manuals come in real handy sometimes.

Thanks a ton. More goodies arriving tomorrow (supposedly) so now I can put all on including the Borla manifold.
Thanks again.

Where did you get the manual from? Is it an official Mitsubishi one, or from some other publisher? Think I'll be getting one really soon.
