I think all the STI vs Evo threads can be summed up in one thought:

Drive them, you will never know which car is right for you until you drive them......

I have to laugh how people will passionately argue which car is better. Both perform very closely, I mean in most drivers hands the difference between the two cars is an extreme case of splitting hairs.....(I know, Ive driven both. As far as an opinion, I like the Lancer platform better; the STI is a better daily driver though.)

I agree with that, too.

Yeah... there's no way to tell which car is "better" until you drive it. Having read the specs, I was 100% convinced I wanted an STi... I even had the dealer write me up papers. Then, for the hell of it, I test drove the Evo. All the numbers is the world can't explain how perfect the seats and position are, or how the spool/lag feels, or how the pedal spacing is, what the engine sounds like.

The specs are so close anyway, the only real differences in these cars are subjective. And to be honest, everytime I see an STi, I still wish I could afford both cars!
