Question Lancer Timing Advance Kit

I seen a LANCER TIMING ADVANCE KIT at the local import performance car shop and was wondering if it was worth the money. IT SAID...
"This is a modification to your Intake Air Temperature sensor that will let your engine breath cooler air and increase the amount of fuel that enters your engine. The increased air/fuel ratio that you recieve will bump up your horsepower significantly over stock cars with a resistor chip. Not only will you feel better acceleration and torque you will feel this through the entire RPM band."
It is supposed to increase the HP by about 20. What is that and how does it work? thanks...late!

In short: garbage. Feel free to peruse the links if you so choose though. Been covered many o' times.

Why this is in show and shine I don't know and given the repetitive and nature of the thread (i.e. bogus engine mod)...*drop kicks to...hm...n00b forum for now*

The only way to deal with timing advances is either through use of a cam gear or adjusting crank angle sensor...then you gotta fill up with premium to avoid detonating!
