Key

After looking closer in the shop manaul it should be like a 10-20 minute process to program another key...this shouldn't cost too much to do, when you go the dealer it is in section 54A-38.

I was going to get another key to. The dealer told me that since you got the car with 2 keys that are programmed. To just get another key and dont program it. For some weird reason both sets are in the car the key that is not programmed will still open the doors it just wont start the car.

screw the chip it doesn't even work. My friend stuck a screw driver or something similar and turned on the car. As for the radio security feature...doesn't work either, I reinstalled the factory unit without the use of the code. It's pretty much a bluff.

This is really easy to do but you still have to buy the dealer key and that's the 100 plus bucks...Actually that's low from what I herd. Then you have to have two programmed keys to program the second. The thing is they all have chips and you use the first to to program the second. If you really want the instructions I can post them up here but know you will need a chipped mitsu Key.

As I said before you need two allready programmed keys to do it yourself. You must first stick in one programmed key turn the car to the on position without starting the car wait for 5 seconds. Then stick the second allready programmed key in and do the same. Then stick the third not programmed key in turn it to the on position and wait for untill the little key emblem that is on the gauge cluster goes off. Then start the car. If I remember correctly your immoblilizer can store up to 5 or 6 keys.
