Auto-dimming mirror and outside temp
In response to the question regarding auto-dimming rear mirror and an outside temp thermometer, the evo doesn't seem to have that as a factory option (the wrx/STi do have an autodimmer mirror option/accessory that's easy to install).
However, you can get an aftermarket unit like the 50-GENK60:

I have this on my evo and it's awesome. Don't need to flip the mirror at night (so mirrror angle stays put). Got outside temp readings. Also, it has Homelink for three frequencies. I use one of the Homelink buttons to open my garage door.

Auto-dimming mirror and outside temp
More than it should, I believe. My mirror came w/ the car (I bought the car used) so I don't know what it should cost. However, I do recall a $400 MSRP.
Oh, another function I forgot to mention is that it has a built in digital compass (which the WRX/STi auto-dimming mirror has too).

If your 240sx is stock, then it doesn't really compare to the Evo in any performance category.
Now, if you've swapped the motor out, it's a different story. My brother-in-law's project car is a 240sx to S13 Silvia swap. It was a very extensive project that included upgrading or changing the following: turbo/intercooler/exhaust/manifold/intake/tires/LSD/injectors. I helped a TON in that project. With all the mods and improvements he's done to his car, he's a little quicker in the 1/4 mile. Before people accuse me of being a sucky driver, keep in mind that he dynos over 300whp, and we took everything out of his car that wasn't needed for racing. All you'll see inside the car are gauges, steering wheel, drivers seat, various electronics controlling air/fuel/boost and the paint on the bottom. We built it for drag racing. My Evo is my daily driver. But the Evo still destroys him around the twisties.
Still, prepare yourself for a different beast if you do get an Evo.
