if you have a manual trannny than you can't run over 7 or 8 psi without touching the internals.this is what i have heard and if you do change internals i not sure how high you can bump it up

Ok, basically its RRM stage 1 i/c kit at 7psi(all you'll need is an exhaust).. RRM stage 2 kit will allow you to go to psi safely because of their piggy back system(all you'll need is an exhaust) other things such as the header and cat you will need to replace in-order to get boost up that high..
right now i'm at RRM stage 0.5(non-i/c@5psi)w/ header + test pipe(w/stock exhaust) haha.. and i mess up wrx's on the highway only.. havent had time to race my friend.. but, i nor do RRM condone street racing of any type. i'm just saying you know they're rubbin up on me.
If you're looking to build your own turbo set up. You have to decide on what type of turbo you will use.. i've seens omeone use a t3/t4.. i actually have the link. and i've seen others with t25/t28s those are more common. Also, you will need to find someone to make you an exhaust manifold. After that you'll need someone to make your piping.. ebay intercooler.. FMU.. upgraded fuel pump or boe's upgraded fuel rails.. better plugs set to .030.. one of your fans have to be moved to the other side.. tapping the oil pan. etc. etc.
**NOTE THIS IS ONLY FOR UP TO 7PSI**
If you wanna boost more than 7 on a custom turbo kit, i'm pretty sure that you'll need internals such as rods and pistons... i think pistons are good up to 7psi and rods are up to 12.. i forgot where RRM blew their rods out at. but that's all i know.. i've been reading everything i can for the past year.. i maybe wrong on some stuff so if anyone has more up-to-date info plz feel free to correct me and share the wealth of knowledge
peace up-

thx for help
I was thinking about 7-8 psi didn't know if I should go with IC or no.
I was looking at the one on turbo-kits.com.
RRM has better stuff maybe, but my pockets are empty,

ok i have a nonIC and am running 7psi but most ppl run 5psi, with 7psi i pull on wrxs. and guys please stop talking about stuff you dont reall know about, that just further propagates bad information, at least put a disclaimer on it like twinkie did. the rrm st2 kit allows you to boost at 9psi on stock internals ppl.
