does the trunk pop up a lot faster now due to the trunk weighing less?

not at all that i can tell. after the initial "pop", you still have to lift it in order to get the trunk struts to start lifting the lid. the way the struts are designed, they only allow a certain rate of movement internally, so it opens at nearly the same speed as the original.

Indeed -- verified this weekend, not any noticeable difference in opening speed from the OEM trunk, just lighter weight, and a better look.

My friend had the do luck duckbill installed and honestly it looks more like a bmw m5 from the side at a distance. Looks great and no rattling like af trunk lids.

it won't fly open when you pop the trunk, but on a windy day i could see that happen. it does lift very easy, and i need to kinda slam it closed since it's so light.

i've been thinking about doing this, mine is painted CF. can anyone comment on this? the right side on mine sits a bit higher.

i didn't think of this till just now, other than the mounting points on the lid itself, maybe i can adjust some where lower on the bracket? hmm i'll have to take a look.

Hope you don't mind Abbas, but I went ahead and registered so I could go ahead and post most of the content here!

"The Trunk when it arrived. We inspected it for any visible damage during shipping. Everything looked fine and the trunk was a work of art. "

"We scuffed the underside of the trunk and begun to paint and clear coat it, just like any OEM trunk. We taped off the edges so no fumes would go on the other side of it during the process."

And the finished product...love the CF strip peeking out!!!

Thanks for the support guys, and let me know if you need anything else Abbas, always glad to hook the Tri State Guys up!
