If it requires rolling then I rather go 1" smaller to the 18x9.0 +25 to play it safe. And yes I plan to put these rims on a Evo X that is lowered on coilovers. Either 18x10 +25 or 18x9.0 +25.

Yes and no. It really depends on your drop and tire size. With a standard 265/35/18 and a mild drop you'll be fine. Otherwise you may need to roll your rear fenders a little bit.
