We had the bike coils on there Wed and they are much worse then the 300m coils. They would want to arc right through the coil. I hope the key to this box is the Marine coils which cam handle the power of the drag box. I have a set of the Marine coils we are going to try 1st and then go back to the Pro 12 300m setup from last year and see what it does.
Was it the older ones from the 954rr's or counterparts? Or did you try the new ones from AEM?
From what I've researched the "motorcycle" coils are more of an inductive coil while the new AEM's are dedicated CDI coils. Not sure if they can still withstand the drag box from M&W as they have a lot of juice. Heck I've been warned that it will eventually melt ground straps on the plugs from being so hot.
From what I've read on EFI101, the coils mentioned in my original post from Brian Kennedy, the IGN-1-CD, will yeild better results vs. the Mecury Marine Coils.
Good luck with everything and I look forward to your results.

Paul,
Ever thought of going with the Motec CDI 8 http://www.motec.com/products/cdi/cdi_main.htm
I know titan uses it on all there drag cars. I saw it in the car when i was a vegas for a meet. Motec claims it made 3100 hp on a twin turbo big block. I believe they also have the coils for it also
