Evo IX First Drive By Sport Compact Car
Here it is guys!!
http://sportcompactcarweb.com/roadtests/0505_scc_evo/
Initial first impressions say that it's almost identical to the VIII handling wise
Noticeable increase in power
Better looking interior
New aero....no mention of rear bumper/diffuser.....but gurney flap on top of wing
Comes in RS, GSR and MR flavors
All models get ACD.......NO AYC
Only MR gets 6-speed
Weight of all 3 models are the same as VIII
Slight price increases

with the exception of the revised gear ratio's, MIVEC, and some other tidbits; the US gets the watered down version yet again..
stock for stock, its a mild improvement but i am still very happy with my VIII and refuse to trade it for the world

poo, I wanted AYC. Then again, I have an 03 so maybe getting ACD wouldn't be that bad Those seats look even sweeter tho! Mitsu, come on, don't leave us hanging again, because that is just gay

With the exception of a higher first and lower third, fourth and fifth gears in the five-speed transmission (used in the EVO and EVO RS), all three models will retain identical drivetrains to their respective ’05 EVO VIII versions.
Interesting, different gearbox ratios.
