did you honestly think we would? I could tell by looking at the JDM rear that they wouldn't be able to put it on in that form due to our crash ratings and they probably would have had to do extensive wind tunnel testing for it to work on our extended bumper. I'm glad we at least got the mivek and the new front. Yes it is really dissapointing becuase I thought the rear diffuser was the coolest new aero feature, but I guess I'll just have to look into importing one instead!

They have it in Europe and Europe has stricter crash test requirments than the US.

Can someone Post a side-by-side bumper comparison with the JDM and the USDM. Not sure i've seen the JDM and just wondering what all the outcry is about.

I'd try and find it but i'm at work and risking it just being on here now, but I had to check on any new posts about the EIX quick, it just couldn't wait.

Thanks guys!

Well, they do the crash tests at higher speeds than here, they were always more concerned about pedestrians, and passenger safety etc etc.
They also have stricter emissions tests and technical examinations so yes, I'm pretty much sure their standards are higher all around.

If we didn't get the JDM rear bumper because of US crash regulations then I'm not sure what would happen if you fitted one aftermarket and someone rear-ended you.....I'm sure the insurance company would love to use this as an excuse to screw you....no?
