- with a few exceptions of course (ie any sales professionals reading this, of course)

Then leave a small deposit .... and your saved!

yeah, the dealers are usually willing to work with you if you are putting a deposit down on a car that doesn't come out for months. Just make sure you get the sales manager since they make the final call usually.

If you're going to do this, I'd suggest waiting until after the model's a little older and you can get a better deal. No sales manager is going to sell one of his coveted evos for a song right after the car comes out. Better to wait until they sell the first batch and the next set is languishing on the sales floor. If you live somewhere that has a brutal winter, that's a good time, right after christmas season when no one has any money. Also, lots of people buy Evos who are in over their heads and are forced to sell. You might consider getting one of these slightly used cars as well.

Put a $500 Deposit on the 9, and this will be at MSRP with no markup.

well I just got another call from the dealership and they said they still didn't have anything official yet, so they told me to wait to put a deposit down. I'll probably just go up there and show them all the info I have about the IX and make them look like idiots!!
