Will you buy/trade for the new USDM IX?
Now that the official specs are out and we know what we are getting, will you buy an Evo 9 or trade in your current model?

Hmm. I'd like to think that a dynoflash and catback would get you up to the same power levels. I wonder if the MIVEC gives you more headroom for tuning though. My real question is why is reverse so fast on the MR? Also they tweaked the 5 speed gear ratios so that the 5th gear is significantly shorter than the MR's 6th, which means more droning at highway speeds for the GSR and RS. Previously 6th gear on the MR was almost the same as 5th on the GSR.

You are not stupid. Just like 05, no leather on the RS or MR, but those are performance cars, and slipping has nothing to do with performance. That way they weed out the posers
Here are the gear ratios for the 03-05 5 speed:
Gear ratios 1st 2.928
2nd 1.950
3rd 1.407
4th 1.031
5th 0.720
Reverse 3.416
Final gear ratio 4.529

That's what it looks like. the 8 MR couldn't either cause you have to buy the whole sound and sun package. It's really stupid honestly. If I'm gonna spend 36k on a car, at least throw in the premium sound and the nicer interior. Either way I'm getting the IX MR and giving my 03 to my wife.

I think I'm going to try and get a good deal on an 05 before I consider the IX. Even then, I'll try and get an RS with spoiler and gurney flap, or GSR with gurney-flap and see if I can get them to throw in HIDs without SSL.
Oh ya, for what is probably going to be a 500 dollar premium, you get a lot: Mivec, new front, new turbo, new wheels, new seats.
But then again, if you can get an VIII for 1000 off MSRP, then you're starting to look better off.
Tough decision, now that I think of it.
