And take picture of the UPS guys face when he turns up in the van to pick it up .

Australia is supposed to be getting them later this year at about the same price and same specifications, not detuned like the VIIIs we got.

Ron, I'd rather pay $31K when it hits our shores.

Remember, our money sucks compared to foreign countries. Good ole exchange rate.. lol

EDIT: Fixed typo

Oh by the way, I recently saw an Evo IX running our streets. Im sure it is a JDM version converted to LHD. Saw the rear bumpers and headlights. Will they ever be releasing the JDM RS2 LHD models? We would usually get RS2 LHD models usually, from the Evo 5 onwards.

Actually, our money is not that bad comparatively. With the exchnge rate listed, you would have to get anoter 50% of what the US price would be for essentially the same item (not considering detuning). And if you converted our cost to NZD then people over there would be going nuts at how low the cost is.

Consider this: I paid about 31244 USD for my Evo. Converting that it would be 43276.06 NZD and from what the previous post said they were going to charge 59000-66000 NZD WITH a 16000 NZD price drop. It is not that our money sucks, we just get good pricing (roughy equivalent to Japanese pricing) compared to other places.

I think only the Evo VI had an RS2 Version. Why would you bother with an Evo IX RS2 anyway? It'd just be an Evo IX GT but without recaros

Yeah we pretty much get exactly what the Japanese have on the NZ market. The new one's are usually slightly detuned to suit our fuel's but after a while alot of car dealer's etc just buy and import them straight from Japan and they run fine anway. I wouldn't buy a new Evo here unless I really wanted a factory warranty. You can buy them cheaper in Japan and import them. Cheaper still if you buy a used one. 03' Evo VIII's go for around 45k NZD now and last year you could buy the FQ-300 which was just an 04' JDM GSR-spec with a chip installed for $74,500.

What do you guy's think of the USDM-spec recaro's compared to the JDM design?
