Evo IX released in New Zealand, 9-16K price drop!!! 216kw aswell!!

Good news! Evo IX just been released in NZ, the GT and GSR models. 216kw and 405NM of tourque for both models along with a huge price drop to compete with the STI. Previously the Evo has been $75,000 NZD new, not the nine though!!! Prices are:
Evolution IX GT=$59,000 NZD
Evoultion IX GSR=$66,000 NZD
A whopping price drop of 16 grand for the GT and 9 grand for the GSR!
The STI is 60 grand. Pretty damned awesome if you ask me! Hope you guys (US) get the price drop aswell...

there's no way we'll see any type of price drop like that here. they already said that it was going to be $500+ over last years model.

Are these original LHD or RHD models? We plan to bring a few units to the Philippines. Mitsubishi here is selling them with skyrocket prices.

Original RHD, we get them 95% JDM Spec normally just SLIGHTLY detuned because they run higher RON fuel then us...not this time though lol, we get 10 more KW over them .

Based upon XE.com:

59,000 NZD = 42,739.17 USD
66,000 NZD = 47,809.91 USD

I am fairly certain that the JDM spec cars would have at least 220kW. Also are you sure that both the GT and GSR have 405Nm, do you get the magnesium turbo? The GT with the magnesium and titanium turbo is supposed to have about 410Nm, but then the GSR is only supposed to have 400Nm?

EDIT: I just checked and the GT is supposed to have 407Nm which is about what you said.
