you CAN pay over msrp. when your dealing with "performance models " or new stock.... dealerships will find a way to get as much money from you as possible.

The local dealer in Charleston SC have a few 05's sitting on the lot. A black one w/ ssl, a silver MR, and I believe another silver gsr. I was thinking of making an offer on the MR after the IX is released if they still have it.

Nice, another guy from chucktown I think I saw you in your car with your girlfriend the a few days ago. ... back on topic - that MR at Charleston Mitsubishi has been there for months! I made an offer on it a while back -- it has a 160 miles on it, and has been left outside for most of that time. But they wouldn't take less then $39,000 so I decided to leave it alone. Augusta Mitsubishi in Augusta Georgia also has a Silver MR for about the same price (I think the two dealerships are owned by the same person).

Maybe someone else will have better luck talking these guys down when the IX comes out. Personally, I'm going to wait for a new IX this point.

Mountain Mitsu in Tacoma WA still has 11 of them. 2 MRs, 3 RSs, and 6 GSRs. They are still asking 42K+ for the MRs and 37K+ for the GSRs!

Destination charge is $595 with Mitsubishi as long as you're in teh continental US, Thats included in the sticker price. I will garauntee the I would sell an Evo IX over sticker if someone wanted to pay me that, but no one will. No one will ever pay over sticker again for an Evo, never again. The desperation is gone.

The PICS in this article and the ones at EDMUNDS, shows that the EVO IX rear bumper is the same as the EVO 8.....

It'd be nice if the 8's dropped in price once the 9's start selling. Even a stock 8 would be a major step up from my ES.

Too bad there's only one Mitsu dealer in Charleston (yes, that makes 3) so you can't try to say, "Well the other dealership was offering it for less" and see if they go even lower than them for your business.
