I hope you've got your pennies saved up, 'cause the leather Mitsu Recaros (fronts alone) cost something like $4000 for the pair.....God knows what the rears cost. The Alcantara seats are going to be way better (in my opinion).

All I can say is the period in which NEW home construction inventories start to show a build (we just had our first report of a build in EXISTING home inventories last week), will be the very first signs of a potential top in the market for new home sales. This will cause numerous "Hedge Funds" to possibly start building SHORT positions in the home building sector. Historically home sales start downtrends after an 8th interest rate hike (which we just had the other week....#8), so we are very near the top for some regions IMO. Some regions may continue to have decent home sales after a bubble pop (Tucson, Minneapolis, Vegas), because home sales are very much a reflection of the regional economic/demographic changes. So San Fran or parts of the Northeast may have 20% to 30% drops in home prices in very short periods of time once the economy starts to shed jobs again during a slowdown. Cities like Vegas or Tucson may hold their values as retires escape to the south or as Kalifornian's escape EXCESSIVE high costs of living (real eastate pricing, taxes, energy cost, etc).
The main affect will be large drops in numerous sectors of the stock market that are OVERLY dependant on these parts of the U.S. economy to stay strong......the market in this period will accelerate any selloff that has already started.
Oil prices are the big cataylist that may really start any selloff at anytime without much of a warning......this causes consumer confidence to drop which results in lower new home sales. The bottom line is that we never know what will cause bubbles to burst, but we also know that bubbles always eventually burst.....I give this one about three more months max.

you know i found my evo in december 04. it was an 03 brand new still (well never titled) with about 100 miles on it. i walked out of there paying 26k. my taxes were free because of my status as a military member. people like me save a lot of money because of the people who preorder. but i still would rather pay another 6 grand and get one the first day.

Interesting ES - but I guessed that the initial run in housing prices was "fueled" by the declining stock prices in prior years. People cashed out of stocks and began looking for alternate investments. That coupled with dropping interest rates made real estate an attractive alternative.
Don't you think that the trend might reverse and stocks will absorb investment dollars when the housing market starts declining?!

The piccie shows the steering wheel on the RHS, so these are either JDM or Euro seats.
However the USDM seats are the same Alcantara (fake suede) and leather design, but the side bolsters on the front Recaros may be a little smaller and the seat base probably a little wider......but, in general, they will look like these.

there was a test drive on one of the auto magazines of the US Evo IX, and the seats were the same as these.
I think it was car and driver.
I may have to look for those used after their are alot of IX's kickin around. Someone will rip them out and put in more full race seats.
