That belongs to a mate of mine, PhilG - you can see more of his car on www.lancerregister.com. Its an Evo VIII.

Also thanks guys for the comments!

I'm at work at the moment but once back at home I will take some more piccies for you.

Its fantastic btw, turbo spool up now begins at 2.7k as opposed to 3K - handling is much sharper now (believe me, you can really tell the difference) due to the lower rear springs being significantly lower than the front.

It doesn't have the top end pull or the raw acceleration of the UK spec VIII MR FQ340 but that will change soon and I do believe it has a lot more potential than the EVO VIII MR. One thing of note is that the intercooler is a lot taller than the EVO VIII MR and the turbo also physically looks bigger. However, it is supposed to be the same size than the EVO VIII MR (ie 10.5t housing) but I've already had it confirmed. The two 'vents' on the front bumper also supply air to the intercooler so it is not brake ducting or an additional feed to the airfilter as some previously thought.

This isn't news, it's been established that this dealer is stupid or just lying, which is no surprise.

The thread can be locked now.

I hear ya. I was driving home from school (for the summer ) and I came to a stop only to find a black evo taking off. When it did, it moved so quick, and clearly had exhaust. The whole time I was thinking, "I wish I was driving..."
