The RS still doesn't have the obnoxious spoiler on it does it? I don't mind that it's in white, I was planning on getting a white one anyway. The only disappointing thing about having only one color for the RS is that every other RS owner will have the same color. I'm just looking at building it up as a sleeper and you can't do much better than plain white for that.

It can be a typo but it says 3 piece piston rings . As you know a piston ring doesn't come in pieces but one ring with a gap at the end to allow it to expand and fit the piston.

No the oil control ring comes in three pieces. two narrow rings on the outside of the expander ring.

another thing to remember about the JDM evo's is they only have 280hp. little less than the US version will have. one thing that is cool about them is that you can get any trim with a 6speed, not just the MR.

^^^^^ er, no. The nominal hp figure of JDM Evos is 280. In reality, they produce more power than that (and have done for some time) and the JDM IXs that are reaching the UK at the moment are dyno'ing well over the "official" figure. If anything, the USDM Evos are detuned somewhat to cope with crappy 91 octane gas.

yeah UK evo's, not Japanese evo's. UK evo's are offered up to 400hp. they've got all the RQ models, Fq-300, 320, 400, etc...there's no FQ in japan. JDM vehicles are capped at 280 stock. whether they do or don't put out more power than they are rated, other than GT-R's, i don't know. all i do know is that the JDM EVO's are rated at 280. UK's are totally different.

The point I was trying to make is that the IXs appearing in the UK over the last month or so are bone stock JDM cars (not the CCC tuned "FQ" IX cars which are literally only hitting the dealers as we speak) and they are putting down "considerably" more than the nominal 280 hp figure quoted by the manufacturer.....USDM Evos have a different state of tune than the JDM ones (e,g. peak torque occurs at 3000 RPM for the JDM IX and 3500 RPM for the USDM IX according to released specs).
