well thats y they have 3 different models for people to choose from so they dont whine or maybe they r trying to justify themselves for not having the latest evo. would mitsubishi makes a slower evo then the previous? very unlikely. and who cares about the resale value of the mr. if u bought it, then its because for the love of evo. the same could be said about mitsubishis warranty. some of u said that u bought the evo not for the warranty. and y would u dis on a car that hasnt been out on the market? ur speculations about the car are just that, speculations.

To say the RS is just a cheap EVO is plain wrong. Maybe you should go ahead and watch the latest BestMotoring DVD and see which is the fastest model between the IX RS, GSR, one of the VIIIs, a WRX Spec-C and an STi around Tsukuba...!
And that's a FACT caught on video.

If you are talking about the one I am thinking it was the 6 spd model which was the fastest EVO in the race. It also had the fastest time attack. The STI spec C won the race but didnt not have the fastest time attack. 90% of drivers do not have the skills to do well on the track without ABS. Have you ever seen the wheels and door handels the RS model comes with in Japan?

However, if you buy the standrad IX with the SSL package then the seats are completely covered in leather (no suede) just like the current VIII seats with the SSL package. The SSL option isn't available with the MR so you're stuck with the Alcantara/leather combo for the seats.

Kansai 22 JDM RS vs US RS
The JDM version of the RS also doesn't come with recaro seats, Brembo brakes, it has steel rims, no AC, no SAYC and so on and so on, the RS was primarily designed for racing teams to purchase a bare basic evo, all the stuff listed and stuff which isn't listed is usually thrown away, so they can install their own racing mods ie racing buckets, AP or Alcon 6 pot calipers on the front and 4 pot calipers on the rear. their own rims, the list goes on. The version of the RS we get here is basically an RS II, it has all the trimings put on the car.
Do some more research Kansai you'll see what I am talking about.
