Yes its a US Spec Evo IX. The car was borrowed from Motortrend Magazine.

I know on the thread someone posted a stock evo 8 mr dyno but does someone have one thats not cut off, preferably a stock 05 evo? If possible i want to see how much of a difference this mivec does throughout the powerband.

Well its a nice strong pull but thankfully nothing that makes me want to trade in my eight.

Cool that you were able to borrow the car! I was under the impression that the MIVEC would really only help midrange anyway....maybe some more low end torque but nothing spectacular on the peaks.

I still get sad when i see that single DIN opening in the dash oh well...

I wish it did also, but since the roof is not steel, it cannot be done safely. (that I know of)

Yea i'm 99% sure it's a dynojet, if you watch the 60mb video they have of the meet, you can see it's a dynojet. So does anyone have any graphs of the a stock evo 8 mr on a dynojet?

I was worried there for a second that the dyno would be 300+ whp stock. Thankfully, it looks interchangeable with an 05 dyno, assuming it's a dyno jet. Tell me it's a Dyno Dynamics and I'll get worried again...

Those are numbers are pretty nice, especially if it was done using 91 Octane gas? 93 Octane gas should post even better numbers.
