If you compare to the rest of the Mitsubishi models badged as SE, it is going to have exterior/interior stuff from the upper end car (MR) but mechanicals from the base model (5 spd).

I spoke with the dealership that I bought my IX from and they have no Idea of a IX.5 coming out. I really wish there was more info, maybe it'll be black with 6spd and come with volk le28 rims or advans RS rims and be equipped with jdm headlights and tail lights...we can all dream right ...but keep us updated fireball... i'm sure if there's a IX.5 it'll be hot.

I think the new SE will have an automatic tranny like the ones that came in the Evo VII.......
I'm gonna have to go with Fireball and Mike on this one. Those guys are pretty reliable as is.

I am getting really close to trading my 2006 Scion TC, in for a 2006 Black Evo IX. I was wanting to know if anybody heard any official info on the 9.5? I would be willing to wait, if it would have more options. Also, does Mitsubishi ever offer 0% financing on the EVO's? I didn't want to buy one now, if they offered 0% in August.

I'd trade in my '05 RS for an Evo 9.5 if it came with side impact airbags and a 6 speed. All the other performance stuff I could care less about. Just gimme a 4G63 and I'll be fine.

From the Press Release that I have on my desk:
Mitsubishi Concept-X
With an exterior that carries over the full flavor of the Lancer Evolution's image and a high quality interior, the Mitsubishi Concept-X points the way to a new-age Evolution design that is as handsome and purposeful as it is functional. The Concept-X mates a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder DOHC MIVEC intercooled-turbocharged engine to a high-performance six-speed auto-manual transmission and introduces the Super All Wheel Control (S-AWC) vehicle dynamics control system. An on-board multimedia system complements the interior design, featuring a high-definition LCD montior displaying realtime ehicle and S-AWC operating status, navigation system maps and DVD audio controls.
