no clutch petal? how boring...thats taking away from the driving experience....id rather bang through gears with a shift knob and a clutch petal than changing gears by tapping pattles

I love the EVO, but I'm struggle with this one. Here are the problems:

1) The EVO is too freaking heave 3300lbs
2) The weight distribution is wrong (too much on the front)
3) The AWD is biased to the front wheels.

The EVO I want is:
1) weighs 2800lbs
2) 50/50 weight distribution w/ very low COG
3) AWD that allows the torque to be redirected by the driver (see the STi). I want to be able to shift from 100% on the front to 100% on the rear or anything in between.
4) Look like earlier gens of the EVO - go back to EVOs that look like they mugged their own granny.

1) Agreed
2) Can't disagree there.
3) How? It's almost 50/50.

1) Buy an RS and gut it.
2) Buy an MR.
3) Buy an '05 or newer.
4) Get a bodykit.

Wrong, the platform started off as a joint project with the caliebr and cruiser, but both chrysler and dodge wanted to reduce cost by using lesser-grade materials to strengthen the chassis, and Mitsu said **** that.

The project split off into two directions, and some markings on the chassis are the same but in general they are two different platforms.

This all coming from a manager from Mitsubishi North America.

I wish they would move the front wheels forward a few inches, or chop a few inches off the nose. The distance between the front of the car and the front of the wheel well looks too long.
