It's not an 07. It's still an 06. There will be no 07 evo's. At the end of august they are stopping production of the SE's and retooling for the X which will not be out for 16 or so months. It'll be an 08 around March of 08. This comes straight from Mitsu. Since I work for them I get some reliable info.

o.k. I'd be o.k. with graphite gray with the matching darker wheels like on the MR.

I guess i have until August to sell my R32 or 993 to get one for myself (my other half already sold his 993 to get his EVO and we like to have his & her's same cars for track duty)

yes, I'm wondering as well what the sticker price will be and exactly what options it won't have compared to the MR.

I'm leaning towards the MR because I want ABS and Cruise control (otherwise I'd want the RS) since it will be primarily for track duty but is the SE is between the MR and RS, I'd be all for it!

No evos have cruise control.

Also there isnt going to be a big price increase with the 9mr special edition but, the GSR special edition is going to have a substantial increase in price.

I've heard it's going to be around $33k~34K for the GSR special edition.

I think if you want the mr, get one now because there really isnt much of a difference.

Actually the wheels will be a bright machine finished aluminum. I'm sure you could trade someone for the dark standard MR wheels or get your new ones powder coated.

ah.. o.k. Well, considering I'd probably upgrade the brakes to the 14" or 14.5 statis/Alcon setup anyway, I'd have to upgrade to 18s anyway so no biggie...

thanks for the correction though..

hmmm.. if NO EVO has cruise control, maybe I will re-look at a white RS instead then.. This car will be my track car only so power windows are not necessary anyway....

I guess I'd just have to get used to NOT having ABS.. EEEEEEEK

ABS is over rated. The Evo is my first car with ABS and at times when it works it feels like I can't stop at the track because the ABS kicks in. Learn to control your left foot better and you don't need ABS.

actually the reason i want the mr se is because it will be available in tarmac. I havennt seen a 6spd tarmac black yet..the color is only available in GSR models correct?
