I didn't notice a huge difference between the 5speed and 6speed (RS and MR) during a test drive.. go figure

it seems you'd have to shift MORE with the 6speed at the track.. or do I have it backwards?

If you're going to make it a track car only, RS would be the one. No questions asked.

It's great platform to make it into a track car.

All you really need to do until driving skills improve is a bit more weight savings and suspension mods.

Is the SE model really an EVO 9.5?? Why are people using this term? The 9's just came out in October.

No, its not really a 9.5. Its just a special edition model. I guess someone just came up with the term 9.5 and it stuck.

Fireball and others,

I am assuming that the info stating that there WILL be a SE IX and a SE MR IX is still corect?
I was to 2 different dealers today. One said that he was aware of the 9.5 and the other said that he heard of the 9.5 and then promised me that there will be no 9.5 and no Black MR.

Also how many of these are to be produced? Thanks.

who said anything about a bright wheel finish?
The rims will be the same as the BBS rims on the current MR, except they will be diamond black, probably alot closer to black, the tire rack pics don't give it any justice, cause of the way the light is hitting the rim in the picture, but they are dark, I would say they are more of a black chrome style finish, there will definitely be more of a shine to the finish.

My local dealer put in an order through mitsu for a couple of them so I'm sure they really are coming out.

Nope you're wrong. They are going to be bright machine finished aluminum. I've seen the pictures of the car.
