The RS may sticker under $30k but it's a very specialist type of car designed primarily for track use or weekend use or possibly as a daily-driver for the diehard "fan". I doubt MMNA sells that many of them nor is it going to contribute much to revitalizing the company financially. I think the STi stickers for nearly $33k now, so it's unrealistic to think that Mitsu would market the "GSR" for much less. I think the MR is over-priced, but not by much. With S-AYC, $36k would be reasonable.

Bottom line......if you are gonna by a new EVO you will get the 9 and it will be better than the 8. We can only hope they dont rape us on the price.
For those of you who already got bent over on the price of the 8 you might as well keep it and mod it instead of getting a 9.
I hoped for a better factory clutch, and I wished I could have a moon roof and get 6 speeds. I really liked the JDM rear but there's always EBAY.
Basically I am happy with the car because I know we can make the fricken thing rip reguardless of factory rated HP.
For those of you who already got bent over on the price of the 8 you might as well keep it and mod it instead of getting a 9.

Besides we all know the EVO is underrated and already does make 300HP, so I think the dyno numbers is where we should look at to see changes. I'm guessing the EVO IXs dyno at around 250WHP-260WHP (dynojet).
