No he runs it b/c he doesn't want to use VTEC killer cams in a boosted application and the VTEC head due to design flows better. He's never in the 'non VTEC' cam lobe when racing so he's not really using VTEC. You can try to argue this with me, but you're going to lose.

I feel everything is going to be alright also. I think it is going to be more similar to the last generation supra, with its constant timing adjustments controlled via the ecu. I maybe wrong but that would make more sense to me, rather than a VTEC style system. The turbo spooling is well beyond the advantages of VTEC and if it is all geared toward the top end then that would make the EVO insane up in it's top end as if it isn't already.
I don't know anything though, just my .02.

I have a Ralliart and love the MIVEC !! the only ting is that a few aftermarket companies (more so the little ones) tried to make some turbo kit for our cars and they abandonned the project after realizing they couldnt tune the car properly with the mivec ..... gives a hard time to a lot of people......

i think most of you guys are right saying it will be a good thing, and maybe the other evo owners w/swappable bottom ends will benefit from this head, however i dont think its going to be any big craze if everyone needs a lot of other things to change and also because the evo10 will be a 2.4 liter completely new motor or something along those lines so why wouldnt everyone want to swap that in instead ?

How could MIVEC possibly be a bad thing? It's not like it's a completely new technology or anything... Ralliart anyone? Or even better, anyone heard of the 6A12??? 200 HP from a 2.0L NA V6... Mitsu's been doin' it since '94.

You all must understand the MIVEC going into the 4G does not have a different profile. The only thing the MIVEC will have is electronic adjustable intake cam timing, thats it. Not the same as vtec where there are actually different cam profiles. It is like taking only the I from the I-Vtec.
